Private Quinceanera

Tiyya means ‘my love’ in Oromo and the idea and meaning behind the Quinceanera is to show our love and appreciation for trans womxn fleeing violence and housing insecurity. Part birthday party and part rite of passage, this coming - of - age celebration will be a communal demonstration of our love for trans womxn who never had the chance to experience this familial cultural party.

Join us in a celebration to reopen our Michelin Bib Gourmand social enterprise, Flavors from Afar, catering service in East Hollywood! The Tiyya Foundation will be open to operate programming by day and you can join us to private events and venue rentals during our closing hours.
